Design Brief

This design was conceived after a client request for a design with the aesthetics of some of our other center consoles but with reduced weight and topside height.  It was decided to use the underbody of our well proven hull form but adjust above the waterline to meet his criteria.  This essentially gave her the look of a bay boat but with the capability of running offshore.  Hence the name was born, Crossover.

Typical of our designs, she will plane with ease, be efficient, and seaworthy.  You will find her to be dry and comfortable across the speed range.  When the going gets rough, you won’t be fighting to keep her on plane while saving your spine.

Construction

The hull was designed to be strip planked over CNC cut temporary and permanent frames and hull structure.  Yes, the permanent bulkheads, frames, stringers, and transom are in place before the hull is planked.  Upon completion of the hull construction, the boat is flipped and the hull structure is in place.  From there, it’s rigging and the interior sole, furniture, and deck.
